The Midrash on Proverbs, a ninth-century collection of rabbinical commentary on the Book of Proverbs, is now available to English-speaking audiences for the first time. Burton L. Visotzky here provides a lucid translation of the work from his annotated critical edition of the Hebrew text, Midrash Mishle. Midrash Mishle is a watershed in midrashic literature, for it marks the point at which broader forms of classical midrash on the Scriptures gave way to verse-by-verse commentary. It is unlike most earlier midrash in that it regularly pays attention to context, relates verses to each other, provides comments on apparently simple meanings of verses, and philologically considers the meaning of specific terms. At the same time, it resembles earlier midrash by considering narrative legends--offering, for example, fanciful versions of Solomon's meeting with the Queen of Sheba, the death of Moses, and Joseph's encounter with his brothers. It also alludes to medieval Jewish law and custom, anti-Karaite polemic, and rabbinic mysticism (with its esoteric speculations on such subjects as the measurements of God's body). Visotzky's volume illuminates all these subjects for the scholar and non-specialist alike in a prose translation that mirrors the style of the original Midrash Mishle text. Burton Custom ein mittelmäsiges Board
Pro: Das Custom ist zu fast allem fähig was man auf der Piste machen kann!!
Kontra: die Qualität des Belages und die Vorspannung lassen sehr zu wünschen übrig
...Hi, ich fahre das Custom jetzt die 2. Saison, und eigentlich bin ich auch sehr zufrieden mit ihm!!
Man kann fast alles mit ihm machen: carven, big airs, powdern, grinden, cliff jumps, pipe fahren, wheelies!
Nur im Rennlauf lässt es ein bisschen zu wünschen übrig, aber das liegt wohl daran, dass ich es sehr kurz gewält habe (51)... Aber sonst ist es zum fahren der echte Allrounder!

...Snowboaerd: Burton Custom 47
Als ehmalige Snowboardlehrerin habe ich natürlich schon viele verschieden Boards getestet.
Bisher hat mich aber keines so überzeugt, wie das Burton Custom 47.
Ich bin zwar 1.72 groß, bevorzuge aber besonders kurze Boards, da sie sich leichter drehen lassen und auch für's Springen besser geeignet sind.
Besonders in der Schischule hat es den Vorteil, da man wendiger...

Länge meines Boards: 158cm. Mein Gewicht: 80 kg.
Kaufpreis: 690 Euro.
Dies ist schon mein drittes Burton Custom das ich ich mir gekauft habe. Wenn ich mir überlege warum dann fallen mir einige Gründe dafür ein. Zu erst das auffallende Design, meiner Meinung nach Kotz hässlich ? aber man sollte eh nicht nach dem Design kaufen sondern nach Verarbeitung...
